On Mongey, opinions are “signed” and can be expressed both about users registered with our community and about non-registered users (indicating their: name, surname, profession and city). On Mongey, an opinion consists of: a written description, an image or photo if applicable, a link if applicable, and a grade (from 1 to 5) for the areas of friendship, love or work.
The reputation score is made up of the grades (from 1 to 5) given on users’ profiles for the three areas (friendship, love and work) as well as the grades (from 1 to 5) given within an opinion/experience, also for the three areas. An average of the three areas is then taken to obtain the reputation counter.
You can input just one “signed” (normal) opinion per day for the same user. You can input just three “anonymous” (“one2one”) opinions per year for the same user. You can input a single “anonymous” (“special day”) opinion per day, during the special day, for the same user.
Circles are a useful tool for managing contacts on Mongey. They make it possible to group people into: family members, partners, friends, colleagues, acquaintances, famous people, people I’ve heard of, and no relationship. Circles are also useful in the “my surveys” function.
These are questions you can submit to one or all of your relationship circles, and the responses/and or grades will be “anonymous”. The aim is to receive honest opinions free from social and/or psychological conditioning, from circles that are anonymous yet controlled because, on creation of the survey, the circles will be chosen by you and therefore submitted to contacts who follow you.
This is a type of “anonymous” opinion expressed during a “special day”. The opinion will be visible to other users for just 24 hours, after which it will be permanently deleted from the Mongey platform. Examples of “special days” are: Valentine’s Day, Carnival, Halloween, etc.
This is a type of “anonymous” opinion that will not be deleted like a “special day” opinion. Using this function means opening a “file” on someone, and it is therefore a serious and visible action. To avoid inappropriate anonymous messaging, each user is permitted just three “anonymous” “one2one” opinions per year and, in general, after opening numerous “one2one” files, even on different users, the platform will block the sender from subsequent use of this function and will also, in confirmed and serious cases, consider suspending the sender’s account.
These are surveys sent to the community by our editorial team in order to receive true and honest responses from our users on news and current affairs questions.
When viewing someone’s profile, it is possible to use the “write messages” function, which enables you to send a private message to the person in question. Any replies will be visible in the Messages panel, accessible from the Home page screen.
The Rankings show the top 20 users in the community. You can also see what position you are in, and there is a “search” function for finding and viewing the position and score of other users not in the Rankings.
Bullying is not allowed on Mongey. Do not defame, impersonate or abuse other people. Do not share personal information on other people, including addresses or telephone numbers. Hate speech aimed at any group of people will be removed from our services. This includes hate speech based on gender, sexual orientation, race, religion and ethnicity.
You can use your photos on Mongey, but we do not allow opinions including images or language that are uncivil, impolite, violent, vulgar or pornographic.
